They are growing up

Where does the time go?
My baby is already over 7 months old... HOLY MOLY!!

She is showing us more personality everyday and I LOVE IT!!!

She is so sweet and I cannot get enough!

Our Jane is happy, sweet, quiet, spunky, determined, cute as can be, tenderhearted, and
oh so LOVABLE!!

And our Avery is still her spunky, happy, busy self now at 2 years 3 1/2 months.

Avery LOVES LOVES LOVES to change her clothes and everyday consists of MANY very creative outfits.

She loves her babies and is such a good 'mommy'

Avery loves to sing and knows SO many songs.

She loves Barney and...

She is good at taking advantage of every opportunity to go exploring when I am feeding or taking care of Jane.
She is a GEM and she makes me laugh everyday.
Avery is smart, happy, silly, determined, independent, sweet, funny, LOVES to sing, adorable,
has a good memory, creative, cleaver, and kind!

Another thing Avery loves...
HER SISTER!!

They are best sisters and I am SO happy they have each other!!

Definitely the best gift I could have ever given either one of them!
They melt my heart and make me want to be a better person and a much better mom!
I LOVE YOU MY GIRLIES!

Jane's Special Day

Jeff blessed Jane on Sept 26.
It was a beautiful day and we are so grateful for all the support we received from family and friends.

My mom made Jane's amazing dress.
I am so lucky to have a mom who is also an amazing seamstress. It means a lot to me that she made both of my girls blessing dresses and I am sure it will mean a lot to them too.
She also got Avery a pretty white dress so she would feel special too.
Avery LOVES her grandma or monkey (as she calls them)!!

Jeff gave Jane a wonderful blessing.
He is such a good dad to our girls and works so hard for us! We are so lucky to have him!

Our girls are also blessed to have lots of grandparents and all close.

Words cannot express how blessed I feel to have two healthy, happy, beautiful girls!
I know they will be the best of friends.
I feel blessed to be their mother and pray everyday that I can teach and guide them and help them reach their full potential.

I cannot end without showing you Jane's little silver bracelet, a special gift to her from her Grandma Leger and her (middle) namesake Aunt Ashleigh.
What an honor and precious precious gift!
THANK YOU!

We are so BLESSED and
so GRATEFUL!!

A good week

We started the week off with a trip up to the South Fork area (above Pineview Dam) to have dinner and visit with my parents who were camping.

It was super fun and in true camping fashion it took Avery all of about 5 minutes to get good and dirty. SHE LOVED IT!!
One of these times we will have to stay!
Little did we know what the next day would bring...

At my regular scheduled 38 week visit to my OB on Monday morning the doctor looked at me with a big smile and said "You're a 5... you're a 6! You need to go to the hospital."
Me: "Seriously???"
doctor: "Yep!! You are having a baby today"

About 5 hours after that conversation I was holding this little bundle of joy!
Check out that DARK hair.
(Avery's was a strawberry blond at birth)
We are a happy little family of 4 now... CRAZY!!
Avery loves her sister! (most of the time;))
She loves to continually check on Jane by standing at the edge of her bed and at the top of her voice saying "SISTER, SISTER!!! HI!! HI!! HI!! HI!!"
She is SUCH a good baby and SUCH a good sleeper!
She sleeps all the time, I am amazed by it! I could NOT say the same for her older sister as a newborn!
Jeff loves his girls and is such a cute dad!
Avery and dad have been able to spend some extra one-on-one time this week and I think they are both eating it up.
Jane Ashleigh Leger
8-2-10
7lb 3oz
20inches long
She is SO SO sweet and we feel unbelievably blessed to have her in our family!

May and June

So it has been a while.
Avery is getting bigger and smarter everyday and I unfortunately am just getting bigger... and hotter and tired-er!!!

Avery has such a fun personality, she is SO busy and makes me laugh everyday.
She is starting to talk up a storm and repeats everything we say! She is also learning to exercise her agency- super fun!
Her favorite spot though is still on my hip... I have a feeling there is going to be a serious adjustment period when the baby gets here. eeeekkk!

Since I last updated:
she flew by herself with all 4 kids from KY to UT... brave woman!
We had a visit from my favorite sister Kathryn and her 4 children
(this is the extent of all the pictures I took while she was here in Utah AND while we were in Washington{SAD})

Yep, I said we went..err... DROVE to Washington to help Kathryn settle into their new home. It was a LONG drive (10 hours) of which Avery slept a full 45 minutes!!! URGH!!!
My parents were kind enough to let Avery and I tag along, they were very patient!

While we were vacationing in Washington, Jeff was vacationing here:
The U.S. Open at Pebble Beach

Following this guy of course!
He was accompanied by his brother Jeremy and uncles Alan and Archie.
He was in heaven!
Unfortunately, no cameras were allowed!

It was a much needed break and he deserved it! He has been working VERY hard at real estate, Leger's and as young mens president. We never see him anymore and we sure do miss him a lot!
We feel very blessed however, that he is doing so well!

Next update: baby #2 mid-August
if I have time that is:)

Side(bar) Note

I am sure you have seen this link on my side bar
It wasn't working for a while but I have corrected the problem and let me just tell you, it is worth clicking on.
My dad has been doing photography to some extent since long before I was even around. And he is now trying his hand in extending it into the blogging world. He would love for you to stop by, leave a comment and to tell your friends about it too.
And make sure you check out his series on '10 cool features on your digital camera you should learn and use' I know I need to learn a lot more about my camera so that I can get the most out of it!
SO... Check it out!

Another photography note...
As many of you have noticed the new header (seriously... I love it too!!)
Jeff's wonderful Aunt Lilian took family pictures for us in October!
Wonderful huh!
What a dear she is to take time away from her family on our behalf.
There are more pictures of us here along with a lot of her other great subjects:)
I think she is for hire. Double smiley:)
Thank you Lilian!!!

Happy Halloween

Avery had a fun 1st Halloween and managed even at only 11 months old to make it to 3 'parties'.
That is 3 times in that adorable, soft, fluffy CHICKEN costume and she didn't seem to mind it one bit:)

She loves her little cousin Mason (dressed up as a BYU football player... too cute!)

Mostly there was a lot of hanging out at grandparents houses and about 30 min. at the YM/YW primary Halloween party.
Next year will probably be a little more work:)

Fifth and Final [trip to Kentucky]

I have been so lucky to have been able to visit Kathryn, Trevor and the kids in KENTUCKY 5 times in the past 2 1/2 years. Each trip has been memorable and I left feeling an increase of love for each of them! I am so grateful that I was able to take Avery with me the last 2 times I have been and am so grateful to Kathryn for her help with all the motherly advise that has made me a better mom and Avery a happier baby!
Avery and I love those kiddos so much and they LOVE her! It was so fun to watch Avery and Davis together. I am sure Davis was long past ready for Avery to go home as she like to love on him and always get in his space.

(notice Davis in the back ground)

No really, they totally love each other and I am sure they will be good friends when she a little older and is not trying to scratch his eyes out:)

I LOVE that we take a trip up to the Gap Clearance Center in Cinci every time! I love that we find great deals and that we get a chance to have a nice long conversation on the way there and back. But most of all I LOVE that my sister is my best friend!

We do a lot of hanging out and everyday stuff while I am there... which is what we all want to be doing!!!

Megan and Hallie loved holding and playing with Avery and she loved it too!
But mostly when Hallie would hold her she just wanted to get her hands on those cute glasses that Hallie was wearing! Attack!!
We HAVE to do crafts of course!
And I have to take advantage of Kathryn's amazing photographing skills while I can!

AHHH, what can I say??
I CANNOT WAIT TILL THEY LIVE CLOSER!!!
