Happy Halloween

Avery had a fun 1st Halloween and managed even at only 11 months old to make it to 3 'parties'.
That is 3 times in that adorable, soft, fluffy CHICKEN costume and she didn't seem to mind it one bit:)

She loves her little cousin Mason (dressed up as a BYU football player... too cute!)

Mostly there was a lot of hanging out at grandparents houses and about 30 min. at the YM/YW primary Halloween party.
Next year will probably be a little more work:)

SURPRISE!!!

I got a pretty serious phone call from my father this evening asking Jeff and I to come over so that Jeff could help my him give my mom a blessing. He was going on and on as to why he wanted us to come and why he didn't just call the home teachers. So of course we agreed and we packed up little Avery...
{baby Avery:)}

and away we went off into the night. The front door was locked as usual and so Jeff knocked and we waited in the cold and guess who opened the door. Let me tell you who

it was not...
{my dad}
it also was not...
{my mom}
it wasn't even...

{Annabelle}

Who, you ask, opened the door for us?

None other than this little cutie...

{Hallie}

and her equally as cute sister...

{Megan}

Can you believe it??? All the way from KenTuCKY!!!! The whole clan:

{Kathryn and Trevor}

{Hallie, Megan and Campbell}

{and little baby Davis}

Talk about the BEST SuRPrIse ever!!!!!

Not to mention they drove, yes that is right, they DROVE for 24 hours with 4 kids... Straight through! That is love and a serious desire to spend Christmas with family!!! We are so so happy they are here and cannot wait to spend the holidays with them!

We love you G family and are SO glad you made the drive!!

My First Turkey!

Good Morning to me... I was up at 6:30am on Thanksgiving morning (something I'm sure my mother has done for years)! I have been watching FOOD NETWORK to get turkey recipes for the last few weeks and we were just hours aways from finding out if it would all pay off.

We had a delicious spread of all the thanksgiving dishes thanks to the hard work of many.

It was a great Thanksgiving! There were only 10 of us and we really missed all of our family that wasn't with us this year!! Maybe one year soon we can all be back together for Thanksgiving. Well, meanwhile, I have many things to be thankful for and I am grateful for this time of year to remind me to take time to appreciate and give thanks for all the things I have been given! I hope everyone had a wonderful day and that that we can all carry the graditude with us all year.
