Cali 09

It seems like you wait forever to go on that fun vacation and then in a blink of an eye it is long over with {sad}!
I was a little anxious how Avery would do in on the 4, 5+hr car rides.
In a word, AMAZING!!!!!

She honestly did not cry for one minute the entire trip! There would be a little fussing and then she would fall asleep! {DREAM}

Jeff, Avery and I stayed in Mesquite from Tuesday night till his family came down and we left for the beach on Friday.
Jeff got in a couple rounds of golf, I had a delightful facial at a super nice spa and we hung out at the pool (well really the hot tub because the pool was FREEZING!!)
It was Avery's first time in a pool/hot tub and she LOVED it!

Then FINALLY we made it to the beach! We were so happy to be there, Avery was especially glad to get out of that car seat!
We had so much to do!

Sit on the beach of course.

Stories and songs by the camp fire.

A trip to Disneyland (I was a little leery about this with the little one but Jeff insisted)
It turned out to be really fun and Avery couldn't wipe the smile off of her face!

It was such a FUN day with the family!

A whale watching boat ride. Notice the dolphins behind us!

This was one of the highlights of our trip. We saw a 'mega pack' of dolphins (500-600)

and 2 blue whales. {AMAZING}

It was so fun to see those incredible animals up close and spend some time with Jeremy, Emily and little Mason!

It was a much need get-a-way and we still can't believe it is over!

Great Family Time! Great Memories!

Leger's on Redwood

Ever since Jeff's grandma and grandpa sold their store and retired (last March-ish) Jeff and I have been talking about taking Leger's back down to North Salt Lake. I was in Kentucky at the first of Jan. when I received a call from Jeff saying that he had made an executive family decision...' We are opening our 2nd deli and it was going to be in North Salt Lake'. I was so happy that he finally was totally on board with this!!

It wasn't long after that Jeff got in contact with the real estate agent for the building we are in now (1 mile south and on the opposite side of the street from his grandparents old location) and it was been smooth sailing ever since! We really have been blessed to be working with great people through this whole process that have all gone above and beyond the call of duty.

We felt confident with re-locating in this area since people already knew our name and we have been hearing nothing but an excited buzz ever since we hung our 'Opening Soon' sign!!

After countless hours of hard labor and many LATE nights we finally opened our doors for business last Wednesday (7-16-08). We could not have been more thrilled with the response!!! We were thinking it might take a couple of weeks to get the business back but it was more like 2 days!
We have a wonderful manager and a great crew and are so excited about the possibilities of this store. It almost brings a tear to my eye to think of how blessed we are! I am so grateful for Jeff and all his hard work and for all of our family that has supported us in this!
Mark your calendars everyone for the evening of Monday July 28th for our GRAND OPENING PARTY. More details will follow so stay tuned!

Leger Christmas Party

It's hard to believe that we just finished with another year of the Leger family Christmas party! Mike and Lesley have been hosing this party for 22 years now and it is always lots of fun and a time to see how talented the family is!

After dinner and talents, Santa comes bearing gifts. Santa even brought Jeff a present, he must have been a good boy this year.

Mason (Jeremy and Emilys little boy) made his first appearance to the Christmas party and he was a big hit! You can see why, is he not a little DOLL! He is such a happy baby!

We ended the night with the usual games, the whistle game and musical chairs. I was wishing I had a video camera during musical chairs! Jeff keeps everyone laughing as he dances his way around the circle... he is a hoot!!
It was a fun night and went by way to fast! Thanks Mike and Lesley!
